The Moonlit Cycle is a charity event organised and run for the sole benefit of St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth by TFA. We have been corporate sponsors of St Luke’s for many years and are proud to be organising this event again in 2017.
This will be the fourth year the event has taken place, each year going from strength to strength and receiving amazingly positive feedback from those that ride it.
The Moonlit Cycle 2017 will give you the opportunity to join hundreds of road cyclists, riding from sunset through the moonlit hours on either the 50km or 100km route along the stunningly scenic South East Cornwall iconic coast.
Wondering if the event is for you? With the two routes it is for anyone over the age of 16 with a bike, a good set of lights and an adventurous spirit to head out into the unknown.
The shorter of the routes is suitable for cyclists of all abilities and all types of bikes. There will be plenty of support around the course and a midway feed station at Seaton with hot food and drinks.
The longer of the routes is for the more experienced and stronger cyclist who is confident to ride 100 hilly kilometers. The route heads out into the night with periods of being alone in the narrow beam of your lights. With 1664m of climbing and an additional feed station it offers plenty of challenges and excitement for the more experienced cyclist.
Take a look at last year’s event and see for yourself.
