Children swapped their uniforms for colourful clothes and sweet treats, all in support of a cause close to many hearts: the Children’s Cancer Ward at Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske).
At the heart of this initiative was Nicole Martin, Chartered Financial Planner at TFA Trusted Financial Advice, who helped organise a non-school uniform day and bake sale at Kea School. Her efforts raised £277.58—a heartfelt contribution that sparked something much bigger.
Thanks to the support of schools across Cornwall, and the generosity of families and communities, the JustGiving campaign has already reached £6,621. And we’re just getting started.

From One School to Many
This idea began with a simple question: How can we make a difference together?
Nicole, worked closely with Royal Cornwall Hospital to set up the initiative and coordinate its rollout across the region. The result? A wave of participation from schools county-wide, each adding their own flavour to the fundraising effort.
From bake sales to dress-up days, the energy and enthusiasm have been inspiring.
Why It Matters
The Children’s Cancer Ward at Treliske provides vital care and comfort to young patients and their families. Every pound raised helps improve facilities, support staff, and bring moments of joy to children facing incredibly tough journeys.
This campaign is more than a fundraiser—it’s a community movement bringing schools, families, and businesses together.
